QRS was founded by John Devic who began his career by utilizing an engineering background and analytical approach in developing a comprehensive environmental, health & safety management process at a small family owned job shop metal fabricator. He progressed in various assignments throughout his career to eventually becoming the chief EHS and Risk Management Officer of a Fortune 500 Tier one Automotive Supplier with over 150 Facilities operating in countries around the world. Throughout over 16 years of industrial experience, Mr. Devic continued to instill his approach of building “business friendly” EHS and Workers’ Compensation management systems that were routinely recognized as world class and benchmarked by other businesses and regulatory agencies.

Throughout his industrial career, Mr. Devic tackled and overcame numerous difficult situations ranging from environmental permitting problems at PSD permitted painting facilities to Workers’ Comp management issues where hundreds of employees amidst delicate labor negotiations were disabled from work for air quality complaints. As a consultant, Mr. Devic continued and expanded on his reputation as someone who can help businesses work their way out of problem situations by helping local companies manage comprehensive regulatory inspections and focused inspections resulting from serious injuries.

Another unique facet of our service approach is that throughout his career, Mr. Devic has formed alliances and service partnerships with experts in focused areas of specialized services. It is through these relationships and alliances that QRS can handle the most difficult challenges ranging from detailed air permitting issues to industrial hygiene and toxicology problems along with occupational medicine and legal issues.
